The Des Moines Metro Opera wrapped up their summer productions earlier this year, including nine recent productions experienced around the world during the Virtual Festival. General and Artistic Director Michael Egel said over 250,000 viewers interacted with the online content from places as far away as India, Great Britain, and New Zealand. Egel also said they will announce their 2021 programming next month, and those who held tickets last season will be given the opportunity to renew their seats and dates during an extended renewal period before all remaining seats go on sale to the broader public next Spring.
