The Pella City Council will discuss several topics during Policy and Planning following regular business at their meeting Tuesday.
The first on the agenda is a potential reorganization of the leadership structure of the Pella Police Department. A proposal that would add a captain, sergeants, and lead communications specialist, as well as a senior officer pay grade, will be discussed by council.
A reimbursement request from Classic Aviation related to COVID-19 operational expenses, as well as a revision to a 28E Agreement for extraterritorial planning and zoning just outside the Pella City Limits, are also up for discussion during the policy and planning session. No formal action will take place on any of those items until possibly during a regular meeting at a later date.
The Pella City Council Policy and Planning meeting begins following the regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
