The Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad claimed first place in its own Invitational on Saturday taking down Pleasantville 2-1 (15-25, 25-18, 15-10) and Mormon Trail 2-0. Kynser Reed led with five kills in match one against the Trojans. Amber McKinney tallied five kills had four service aces and Breanna Benge tallied three aces.
Against Mormon Trail, Reed added eight more kills while Emma Haeberlin and Kacey Enfield combined to go 24/24 serving with four aces. The Saints will travel to Mormon Trail on Tuesday for a triangular with Orient-Macksburg.
Pleasantville defeated Mormon Trail with a sweep in their other match 25-18, 25-15. McKinney added six more aces to her successful day of serving.
The Trojans are 6-5 overall and are off until September 29th at Van Meter.
