The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday. The council held a public hearing on a zoning code related to camping within the city, and passed an ordinance to allow camping within the city limits during the Knoxville Nationals. The ordinance will allow the enforcement of camping restrictions outside of those times.
The council approved two change orders for the Competine Trail project, authorizing adjustments to allow construction to continue, and approved payment of claims.
Chief Aaron Fuller gave an update on the police department, announcing position changes and the start of a fundraiser for a department canine.
The next Knoxville City Council meeting will be held October 5th at 6:15 p.m.
