Tulip Queen and Royal Court in mid-March 2020

Nominations can be submitted for the 2021 Tulip Queen and Royal Court until September 29th. Lori Lourens with the Tulip Time Steering Committee says forms are available to nominate high school seniors to be part of the Tulip Queen selection process. She says the girls chosen to represent Pella during the 85th Tulip Time will travel the state to perform and interact with potential visitors in the spring. Nomination forms can be submitted at the Pella HyVee, Pella Historical Society, Marion County Bank, or the Pella Fareway by 4 p.m. on the 29th. The final list of nominees will be released in early October and then 12 finalists will be selected by a vote of community members to perform at the Tulip Queen’s Announcement Party at Pella Christian High School on Saturday, November 14th.

Those nominated must be:
– be a high school senior (Pella, Pella Christian, or homeschool)
– be 17 years old by May 1, 2021
– have a permanent home address in the Pella School District
– live with a parent or legal guardian
– be unmarried
