The Indianola Community Youth Foundation has been selected as a grant recipient from the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership for $4,000 to purchase new equipment. The grant will go towards sports equipment such as ball carts, basketballs, soccer balls, and a hurdle cart among others. Executive Director Taylor Litchkey tells KNIA News the grant means much more than just sports gear.
“We are excited to see the equipment be used by the youth in our community while they exercise and enhance their performance. This grant offers so much more than equipment, this is an opportunity for our youth to learn about dedication, sportsmanship and leadership; skills that they will carry with them throughout life.”
Litchkey also said the Foundation would like to thank WCPP for contributing to local projects that make an impact in our community each year. The ICYF was founded in 2009 by Casey and Abbie Blake.
