The PCM cross country teams hosted their only home meet of the season Tuesday, and saw relative success on both the boys and girls teams. Freshman Tiffani Koonce is an up-and-coming runner on the girls side, and finished fourth on Tuesday. She says that with hard work and learning from teammate and friend sophomore Paige Steenhoek, she can make it to state in her inaugural campaign.

Koonce finished with a time of 21:53 on the brand new course in Monroe. That mark was second on the team, behind Steenhoek’s second place finish. The Mustangs will next be in action Tuesday at Knoxville.
