As the undefeated Trojans prepare for the second half of the season, they face a familiar foe in the winless Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks.
Despite the clear advantage Pleasantville has in the wins department, history is a virtual stalemate between the two programs.
Since 2014, they have faced each other four times. They are tied at 2-2 in those games. Even the scoring has been close as the Trojans have a narrow 75-69 advantage in the scores. This includes the Tigerhawks pitching a shutout in 2014 as well as last year’s 57-28 Pleasantville victory.
Despite having nearly triple the rushing yards, Pleasantville’s passing game may actually be outdone by Colfax-Mingo. Tigerhawks QB Colton Lind has 40 completions 392 yards, which are more than the Trojans’ own QBs combined. Pleasantville has yet to face a team who utilizes the pass as much as this week’s opponent.
