As Iowa celebrates the 100th anniversary of state parks, many state parks are holding volunteer events. Elk Rock State Park near Knoxville is hosting a volunteer clean-up event beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The event begins at the Equestrian Campground playground. Volunteers will help pick up trash throughout the park, including the trails and shore line. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves and dress appropriately for the weather. Volunteers are also invited to share their activities on social media with the hashtag #IowaStateParks100.
