NCMP Aquagirls from Fall 2019

Pella swimmers with the Newton NCMP Aquagirls took on three of the top ten teams in the state, taking 4th behind those ranked squads at the Valley Invitational Saturday. The Aquagirls finished behind Waukee, Dowling Catholic, and the host Tigers in the team standings.

The top individual finisher for NCMP was Pella’s Hannah Nedder, placing 3rd in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.17. Nedder is closing in on the state qualifying automatic cut in that 100 fly, with the time of :59.69 as the goal.

Hannah was also on the 4th place 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, 4th place 400 Yard Free Relay with fellow Lady Dutch swimmer Natalie Boll and Maylei Ruggles, and the 4th place 200 Medley Relay with Ruggles.

Maylei placed 10th in the 200 yard individual medley (2:36.45) and 9th in the 100 yard backstroke race (1:08.23).

Boll also competed in the 200 Yard Freestyle (13th – 2:17.44), 500 Yard Free (11th – 6:08.2), and on the NCMP alternate team in the 200 meter free relay.

The Pella swimmers on the NCMP Aquagirls return to the Newton YMCA for a varsity swimming triangular at 5:30 p.m.
