Several Indianola High School fall sports teams will be in action this week, including the last home game for the Indianola volleyball squad.
The Indians boys and girls cross country squads will make the trek east to compete at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville on Tuesday.
The Indianola volleyball squad will also be competing Tuesday, hosting the Indians of Oskaloosa High School for Little Hawkeye Conference competition, and will be senior night for the squad.
And the football team will take a road trip north to Ames to take on the Little Cyclones. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports the season has had some ups and downs so far, but they are looking to finish strong.
“I think there is still a lot of growth to be made. I like that guys that we have in the locker room and on our football team. When they play with energy and a lot of heart and grit they are a good football team. We are going to get tested down the stretch here, but we just need to continue to have a growth mindset. We have to get better, we have to make the most out of our opportunities, and I like our chances as we move forward.”
