The Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad swept a triangular over Seymour and Murray on Tuesday, thus avenging a loss earlier to the Mustangs. In match one the Saints beat Seymour 25-20 and 25-10. Kenzie Smith made life difficult for the Warriors at the net with eight kills; she was also perfect in 13 serve attempts and five aces and added nine digs. In match two the Saints had to go three sets to vanquish Murray in a 25-20, 18-25, and 15-12 victory. Their three-pronged effort of Kynser Reed, Smith, and Elly Millburn combined for 19 kills. Emma Heaberlin was 12/13 serving with an ace. Coach Jesyka Nolte told KNIA Sports it was an exciting night to finally get a long coveted win over Murray. Melcher-Dallas is now 11-1 and have won their last seven in a row. The Saints will now prepare for arch rival Twin Cedars on Thursday.
