Marion County Economic Development held a quarterly meeting Wednesday. With all three Marion County supervisors in attendance, it was also considered an official Supervisors meeting.

Perspectives from key industry sectors were given, with topics the topics of COVID-19, storm damage and others discussed. Speakers included Daryl Bouwkamp of Vermeer Corporation, Megan Weiler Green of Weiler Corporation, Megan McKay of Peace Tree Brewing Company, Lana Pol of Geetings Inc. and Val Van Kooten of Pella Historical Village and Vermeer Mill.

Representatives Dustin Hite, Amy Sinclair and Ken Rozeboom shared their thoughts as well. Following the speeches, an open discussion was held among leaders with a large community audience in attendance.

No formal action was taken. The next Marion County Board of Supervisors regular meeting will be October 13th at 9:00 a.m.
