The Indianola City Council gave direction to city staff to begin the process to appoint a resident to the Mayor’s office after meeting in special session earlier this week. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News if any resident is interested in the position, there will be an application process set up soon.

“City staff is working on getting that created and uploaded to our website. We are hopeful the drop dead date for that is October 5th. So anyone can check out our website for that application or contact the city clerk.”

The Indianola City Council will formally vote on an Intent to Appoint resolution at their next meeting, which is scheduled for October 5th.
