The Republican Party of Marion County hosted a “Back The Blue” event Monday evening in Knoxville to show the party’s support for law enforcement. Several agencies were in attendance. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt, Marion County Attorney Ed Bull and Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller addressed the crowd of approximately 50 supporters. Republican candidate for the Iowa Second District Seat in the House of Representative Marionette Miller-Meeks and State Senator Amy Sinclair were in attendance. Eric Branstad and John Pence, both advisors to President Trump, addressed those assembled, making the case for another four more years in office for the president. Those in attendance were able to pick up Trump apparel and other candidate yard signs.
