Connecting For Women, an event hosted by the Knoxville, Newton and Grinnell Chambers of Commerce, is today. It’s an opportunity for women in business to reflect on mental wellness and collaborate with ideas. It was originally scheduled for spring, but was delayed to the fall and will be held via Zoom. Knoxville Chamber Director Hannah Vander Veer explains what to expect.
“It’ll be an hour of discussion, hearing from a speaker, and this year we’re focusing on mental wellness and business with everything that’s gone on in the past few months. We’ll have a presentation from the Make It Okay Campaign, which is a campaign regarding mental health. We’ll talk about implementation of new goals that may have popped up in the last year. There will be a chance for some roundtable breakout discussions for women in the separate communities to meet and see if they can collaborate in any way.”
Connecting for Women begins at 4:00 p.m., and registration is required.
