The Knoxville Cross Country Squads head to Honey Creek Resort today for a run in the Centerville Invitational. The Panthers are coming off hosting their own invitational last Tuesday and while the finish is not where the Panthers would have wanted, there were individuals that had good races. Boys Coach Michael Splavec tells KRLS Sports he wants his guys to run their best races of the season knowing the conference meet is just a week away.

Splavec:
“We have to have some guys to run their great races. They’re capable of it, it’s just getting their mind around it and it’s just one person inf front of the other, and that’s all that matters.”

The girls, led by top ten runner Norah Pearson will also compete. Girls Coach Mikayla Splavec tells KRLS Sports all of the girls have seen their times drop in recent meets. Tonight’s action gets underway at 4:30.
