The Knoxville Library continues to further expand its hours toward normal, and is now open on weekends. As of this month, the library is now open from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Director Roslin Thompson says library staff continue to monitor the ongoing pandemic situation, and are making decisions in the best interest of the community.
“We will still look at the number of cases in the county and the schools. We just feel that it’s been a long time, so we’ll reassess as the year moves along. The board and the staff will get together and meet about when we can get back to normal hours, and what phase we’ll be in our reopening plan.”
Current hours of operation can be found here. The library encourages the use of masks and social distancing while inside the library, and continues to offer services such as curbside pick-up.
