Knoxville bounced back after two early losses in the Pella invitational with a pair of victories, to finish 2-2 Saturday.
The Panthers opened with losses to Pella (16-21, 19-21) and No. 6 in 1A Holy Trinity (21-16, 11-21, 11-15) and won against Mediapolis 2-0 (21-17, 21-14) and No. 14 Bondurant-Farrar (21-18, 18-21, 15-6). Knoxville has had the Lady Jays’ number this season — this was the third time the teams have met, and the Panthers have won all three matchups. Knoxville opened the 3rd set against Bondurant-Farrar with nine straight points.
The Panthers are at 20-4 overall and celebrate senior night Tuesday at home against Centerville.
