“Beggar’s Night” will take place later this month throughout Marion County. The City of Knoxville has set the date of Saturday, October 31st, with no major adjustments planned. The city and police departments, however, are open to suggestions in regards to COVID-19 mitigation protocols.

The City of Pella will also hold Beggar’s Night on October 31st. The Pella City Council provided conditional approval of the 2020 Beggar’s Night designation at their August 18th meeting with the understanding that if the Governor, Centers for Disease Control, or Iowa Department of Public Health issues an order or guidelines prohibiting events like this due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event will not be able to occur.

Bussey and Pleasantville are holding their respective events on October 31st. Melcher-Dallas and Indianola are hosting their Beggar’s Nights on October 30th.
