The Marion County Coronavirus Joint Task Force released its weekly case count update. Since October 12th, 44 new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by Marion County Public Health. There are 57 active cases and 888 recoveries. The two-week average positive test rate is at 9.8 percent and there is one patient hospitalized with the virus. A 10th death in Marion County was reported to the State of Iowa database last week.
