The Pella City Council will consider a few items related to development and a professional services agreement for Big Rock Park at their meeting this evening. A public hearing is scheduled for written applications to annex land into the City of Pella corporate limits in relation to the Lely, North America headquarters south of Highway 163. A resolution approving an extension of tax increment financing between the City of Pella, Pella Community School District, and Marion County for the Prairie Ridge housing development is also on the agenda. Council will also consider a contract with Snyder & Associates to conduct an environmental study of Big Rock Park, in order to identify and inventory threatened and endangered plants and animals and review existing uses in the park. Council will review special event permits for the annual Sinterklaas parade and holiday season activities in the Central Business District. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex, and is also available virtually.
