With at least one performance remaining, the season isn’t quite over yet for the Pella Marching Dutch — but the seniors of the group have had their final competitive shows of the fall.
Seniors Aidan Johnson and Ella Van Zee both are thankful to have been part of the ensemble and the impact it’s had on them over the past four years.
“For me, it’s just been an amazing community to be a part of,” Johnson says. “It’s opened up so many musical opportunities for me, and I’ve been able to create so many different friendships and connections throughout four years of high school, that I don’t know what I’d be doing if I wasn’t in band.”
Pella wrapped up competition with a Division I “Superior” Rating from the Iowa High School Music Association for the 44th consecutive season.
