The Indianola girls swimming team could not withstand a record setting performance from the Toreadors, as the team fell 115-65 at Boone for their final regular season meet of the season. Boone broke six school records at the meet, and Indians head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA Sports the Indians just could not keep up with what Boone was throwing out there. Strain also said now is the time for the Indians to buckle down and get ready for their next meet, the state qualifiers.

“We are going to take our 15 or so top swimmers and start getting ready for the regional competition, and really focus on what their events are. Some of them are only swimming one race at regionals, several of them are. So we are going to want to really dial it in and perfect our details for those races.”

The Indians will next swim November 7th in the regional meet.
