The City of Indianola has been notified by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources that an additional $706,000 in grant funding has been awarded to the city for streetscape project, in order to help ensure water quality for the city. City Manager Ryan Waller said this funding is on top of the $1 million funding from the DNR for the project, bringing the total to $1.7 million if the grant funding is approved by the city council. The downtown streetscape project construction will coincide with the Warren County Justice Center construction plan.
