
The Iowa State Cross Country meet wrapped up Saturday with the class 1A and 2A runners going. Melcher-Dallas’s J’Lyn Knutson finished a great four year career placing 38th with a time of 21:29.
In class 3A and 4A on Friday, Emily Naughton placed 19th individually with a time of 19:27 as the Indianola girls cross country team placed 15th overall, while Curtis Johnson placed 43rd individually on the boys side with a time of 16:46. The Indians other top finishers included Gracie Foster in 46th place and Remy Siversen in 98th. Katie O’Neil, Rachel Engelhardt, Hailey Seifrig, and Joey Werling placed 101st, 103rd, 104th, and 105th respectively.
Knoxville’s Norah Pearson placed 17th in the class 3A girls race, while Seth Walraven placed 77th on the boys side.
