Indiana Township Fire Chief Tim Feagins has retired after 33 years with the department. He says his time with the department has been a rewarding experience.
“The rewards outweigh the efforts. We might get up at two in the morning to help rescue someone who’s having trouble breathing, or blood sugar or whatever it might be. The community response to that, they know you’re out there, they know if they call, no matter what time it is, somebody’s coming. That kind of security is appreciated and has been shown to our department through the support we get with our fundraisers. It’s just been way rewarding.”
A retirement party was held at the department in Attica Sunday afternoon as part of the department’s gun raffle drawing, where 16 guns were raffled off.
