Marion County had 78.01 percent voter participation in this week’s general election, a record turnout for the county. 19,316 total ballots were cast in this year’s elections compared to 17,952 in the 2016 election. 24,760 people were registered to vote in Marion County this year. That number is slightly down from 24,846 registered voters in 2016.
