With just one local football team remaining in the Iowa High School Athletic Association playoffs, KNIA/KRLS is slightly altering its weekly Football Friday Night coverage. The Jeromy Dingeman Concrete Football Friday Night Radio Preview Show will be shortened to 90 minutes, running from 5:00 to 6:30 on both KNIA and KRLS with Spencer Dirks and Cory Houser.

The PCM football team travels to West Marshall for the quarterfinal round of the Class 2A playoffs, as the #1-ranked Mustangs take on the eighth-ranked Trojans for the right to advance to the UNI-Dome. Jon Mohwinkle and Jeff Lindsay will broadcast the action on 92.1 KRLS, with pregame coverage from State Center beginning at 6:30.

Following the game, a shortened version of the Precision Pulley and Idler Football Friday Night Radio Scoreboard Show will air only on 92.1 KRLS, with Cory Houser in studio recapping the PCM game, as well as a look at the updated playoff field across the state.

Following Friday’s games, the semifinal pairings will be released by noon on Saturday.
