The Pella City Council revised its zoning jurisdiction outside of the corporate limits at their meeting this week. Assistant City Administrator Corey Goodenow says the council approved and adopted a resolution for a 28E Agreement amendment with Marion County to reduce the City of Pella’s extraterritorial zoning review area from two miles to one mile, which would simplify administration of zoning laws for both the city and county, and allow the Pella City Council to focus on likely areas to develop in the future.
