The Indianola girls swimming team competes in regional action today at Southeast Polk High School, fight for a chance to continue their season. The Indians qualified three relays last season, and head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA Sports the goal is to surpass that this year, or even qualify as a team to the state meet.
“I think overall we don’t have any superstars but we are really solid top to bottom. And so that allows us in meets to move girls around into some different events and to try some things and I’m really looking forward to doing that as we move into the next stage of our season.”
Competition starts today at noon.
