The Knoxville School Board met in regular session Monday, with board members beginning roles in new offices.

The meeting started with new President Cheri Gerdes and new Vice President Larry Scott taking the oath of office. The board approved remaining in Tier 2 of the district’s facilities use plan. They also approved design development plans for the new middle school building.

They set November 23rd as a public hearing date for precast package bidding, an undisclosed retirement package with details to be discussed at a later date, approved an SBRC application for increased enrollment, and held a reading on board policy revisions.

The next Knoxville School Board meeting will be November 23rd at 5:30 p.m.
