Two Pella cross country athletes earned elite honors for their work in the classroom and racing.

Pella Head Coach Doug Cutler says seniors Abby Cutler and Tony Schmitz both earned Academic All-State honors from the Iowa Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The athletes chosen must be a senior, have a 3.8 or higher cumulative grade point average, earn a cumulative score of 28 or higher on the ACT, and participate as a State Coed Meet qualifier or finish in the top thirty at a State Qualifying Meet during the year of application.
