With their three top scorers and all-conference players lost to graduation, there may be some new names that are expected to fill some large shoes for the Simpson men’s basketball team this upcoming season. Connor Riordan, Kyle Wagner, and Adam Reiter did the bulk of the scoring for the Storm last season, and head coach Brad Bjorkgren tells KNIA Sports he expects some of his younger guys who took a backseat to the all-star trio to step up this year.

“I think we have a good nucleus coming back with guys who have played some meaningful minutes in big-time games last year, so their role as a role-player expands. And a lot of those guys were big time scorers in high school who are going to be asked to do that a lot more this year. We had two freshmen last year in Colin Lister and Andrew Curran who had great year’s as freshmen and I think are ready to take off this year at Simpson.”

The Storm are expected to start their season in 2021 with American Rivers Conference play.
