indianola-3

The Indianola girls swim team competes at the state meet today at the Marshalltown YMCA. The Indians, who program share with Knoxville, Winterset, and Southeast Warren, qualified the quartet of Olivia Bacon, Kodi Cram, Kinsli Cram, and Jorja Culver seeded 26th in the 400 freestyle relay, and 31st in the 200 freestyle relay with the foursome of Kinsli Cram, Kodi Cram, OIivia Ramaeker, and Jorja Culver. Head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA Sports the Indians have been working on their technique and conditioning, but they will need the right mindset to succeed today.

“If you don’t have the correct mindset, the other two don’t matter. It’s like a three-legged stool, if you don’t have one of those legs the stool won’t stand.”

Due to venue capacity limitations, no spectators will be allowed at this year’s meet.
