While most of the spotlight will shine on the state champions next week who end their seasons with a win, Melcher-Dallas Football will be able to say that as well. While the Saints were far from winning a state title in eight-man this season, the Saints did go out winning in their final game. Melcher-Dallas opted out of the eight-man playoffs due to low numbers and not having the season the Saints wanted. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports he made sure to drive that point home before the final game his team played against rival Twin Cedars.

Melcher-Dallas defeated Twin Cedars in the final game of the season 46-0 to finish the season 3-5.
