The six seniors for the Knoxville Volleyball Squad this season set the bar high for future Panther Volleyball programs to reach. The Panthers won their fourth straight South Central Conference championship this fall, reached the class 3A regional final, and put together a record the past two seasons of 52-15. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KRLS Sports Marley McKay, Tara Uitermarkt, Amy Sullivan, Alyssa Vaske, Reilly Finarty, and Maggie Wilkins were good role models in many ways off the court.
Keitges:
“This group was definitely no exception. They kept the bar high and maybe nudged it up a little higher. It’s because of them and the example they set and role models they are. I feel good about the kids we have coming up because they’ve had a great group to look up to.
One of the off-the-court accomplishments the Panthers put together was a team Grade Point Average of 3.8, which gave the team a South Central Conference Academic Achievement award.
