Knoxville High School Activities Director Ryan Paulsen has announced changes to extracurricular activities in response to Governor Reynolds’ proclamation of enhanced COVID-19 mitigation measures.
School-sponsored middle school sports, as well as youth club, travel and AAU sports for eighth grade and younger are suspended through December 10th. School-sponsored high school sports and activities can continue to take place.
If outside groups want to use school facilities, only outdoor facilities will be available, no concessions are allowed, face coverings are required, and groups must provide their own restrooms if needed.
Performers in high school extracurricular activities will receive two tickets for spectators. Groups of spectators must be at least six feet apart. This includes the middle school concert scheduled for November 23rd.
The district is also making plans to offer streaming services for events. Most varsity basketball games will air on 95.3 KNIA for those unable to attend.
