Marion County Public Health released its latest update for COVID-19. Through contact tracing, 1641 total positive cases had been confirmed since the beginning of the outbreak as of Monday afternoon. Marion County Public Health reports 1,415 recoveries and a two-week average positive test rate of 25.7%. Two active long term care outbreaks continue at Accura Healthcare and The Cottages. A total of 16 residents have died due to COVID-19 in Marion County, and 18 residents are hospitalized with the virus.
