With Saturday’s semifinal football loss, the fall sport season is officially over at PCM. All three fall sports teams saw their share of great success throughout the season. The football team finished with a 10-1 record and appeared in the UNI-Dome for the second time in three seasons. Head Coach Greg Bonnett was honored as Co-Coach of the Year by the KNIA/KRLS Sport staff for his team’s accomplishments.

The volleyball team finished with an overall record of 13-19, and finished 3-3 in Heart of Iowa Conference play. With a lot of depth, the Mustangs turned what would have been many close losses last season into close wins. The 13 wins was the highest total since 2007.

The cross country team saw its share of success. The girls team finished fourth in a loaded state qualifying field in Williamsburg, but for the first time in coach Eric Karr’s tenure, the Mustangs had multiple state qualifiers in Paige Steenhoek and Tiffani Koonce.

Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for full fall sports recaps over the course of the next week.
