While the Pella football team continues to be one of the top programs in Iowa in terms of on-the-field success, the whole message of TLCBF is about what happens in the classroom as well.

Twenty one of Pella’s varsity athletes earned All-District Academic recognition this fall. Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says the goal of his program since he took over the program in 1997 was to build winning players who contribute to society in a positive way later in life, and he has no doubt these athletes and the Class of 2021 will continue to lead with example despite their playing days being over.

Pella finished the 2020 season with a 14th consecutive trip to the state football playoffs.
