Knoxville Parks and Recreation has announced additional closures following Governor Reynolds’ implementation of enhanced COVID-19 mitigation measures. Winter swim team, lifeguard courses, and kindergarten and first grade basketball have been cancelled.
Fitness classes also remain cancelled until further notice. Masks continue to be required by everyone inside the rec center, allowing for more than 15 people inside at once. Director Brandon Nemmers tells KNIA/KRLS News that he hopes the Knoxville Recreation Center can remain open during this time, and asks for the community’s help in following guidelines to ensure the rec center can remain open.
