The Pella City Council approved an administrative request to set a public hearing for December 1st to review a Ground Lease with Weiler Transportation, Inc. at the Pella Municipal Airport at their meeting Tuesday.

Council also established a public hearing for January 5th to review bids for outside service drops as it relates to the Pella Fiber to the Premise Network, and approved a pair of 28E agreements with Mahaska County for improvements and maintenance of 250th Avenue near the new Lely North America Headquarters.

A review of the Urban Renewal Report and approval of the first reading of an ordinance for the first phase of tax increment financing for the South Main housing development were also on the agenda.

Mayor Don Dewaard shared a special proclamation honoring the late Zach Van Donselaar, who worked for the City of Pella Aquatic Center for six years before unexpectedly passing away in October.
