The Indianola Public Library presented their annual report to the Indianola City Council on Monday, highlighting the past year for the library and reviewing their five-year plan. Library Director Michele Patrick tells KNIA News despite the pandemic, the five-year project plan remains mostly the same.
“Some of our goals include going fine-free at the library, we want to transition into a fine-free library. We also plan on opening later, we are already partially doing that being open later on Thursday evenings, and we would also like to be open on Sunday. We are currently open for curbside pickup on Sunday, but an eventual goal will be to open on Sunday.”
Patrick also said the library is looking into larger facilities in conjunction with city hall, and that project is still in the early planning stages.
