Pella Community Ambulance has purchased a Stryker self-loading cot to improve the service after a year and a half of fundraising. Director Greg Higginbotham says following a kick-off open house in May of 2019, the community responded by raising needed funds to acquire the technology he says will help save on physical wear-and-tear on EMTs and paramedics. Higginbotham says they are raising funds for a second powered loading system to further bolster the technology available on hand.
