The Norwalk boys basketball team enters this season as the reigning Class 3A champion. However, the team will not get the chance to defend that title this year with the move up to Class 4A. Despite losing a strong core of talent, including last year’s Iowa Mr. Basketball in current UNI Panther Bowen Born, Head Coach Chris Larson says it’s important for his team to not get complacent, especially during a time when playing and practicing is a blessing in itself.
Larson says that a more balanced approach in the scoring column is around the corner after losing Born’s 36.4 points per game. Joe Brown is the top returning scorer after posting 3.9 points per game last season. The new-look Warriors begin the season on Tuesday, December 1st at Ballard, a game that will air live on 94.3 KNIA.
