The Knoxville Girls basketball Squad has seen just about every type of defense thrown at it the past four seasons, and just because All-State Player Katie Keitges graduated, that likely will not change. The Panthers return the services of Third Team All-Stater Maggie Wilkins, who will likely be the focal point of the squad this season with her 23 points per game last year. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KRLS Sports teams will likely scheme to take away Wilkins which will make the other four girls up their scoring.

Uitermarkt:
“We’re used to going up against just about any defense. Whether that’s man, zone or a junk defense that a team will come up with. We feel we’re prepared for that.”

Wilkins will be helped on the court by Tara Uitermarkt, Emma Dunkin, Marley McKay, and Charlee Heffron. The Panthers are scheduled to take on PCM Tuesday night in their season opener.
