The Pleasantville Police Department recently received a $500 donation from Travis Trucking and an anonymous citizen to help spread cheer and good will. Starting this week, officers will be handing out Pleasantville Community cards to Pleasantville citizens. These cards are each valued at $20.

Chief Joe Mrstik tells KNIA/KRLS News that the department feels blessed to be able to serve citizens in this way, and that the department takes pride in being actively involved in the community. No official protocols have been set regarding distribution of these cards, but the department will focus on those who may be in need during the holidays, and those who have gone above and beyond this year.
