Winter weather has not yet begun to heavily affect south central Iowa; however that should not stop residents from preparing for driving in the snow and ice. Indianola Police Captain Brian Sher tells KNIA News everyone should think ahead for when the eventual day will come.

“Have your gear prepared ahead of time for what you will need. Extra food and water, extra clothing, a flashlight, any medications you may use. Just definitely have a winter pack in your car.”
