The Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad evened its record on Tuesday with a 29-23 win over Orient-Macksburg in the Sabers’ home opener. Coach Trent Verwers told KRLS Sports it was not the prettiest wins, but a lot of girls contributed to the win, namely Kisha Reed with her 15 rebounds. Brooke Roby led the Sabers’ balanced offensive attack with eight points while Jenna Hastings had six points. Verwers added that all seven girls that dressed played and scored at least two points. Twin Cedars is 1-1 on the season and will travel to Wayne next Tuesday.
